The scientific calculator applies powers before a leading minus: −2^2 = −4, while (−2)^2 = 4. Exponents associate right to left. The % key divides by 100; it does not apply a contextual discount. Trigonometric functions use the selected DEG or RAD mode. Results use finite floating-point precision.
