These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of TheCalculatory (the "Site"), located at https://thecalculatory.com. By using the Site, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

1. What the Site offers

TheCalculatory provides free, general-purpose calculators covering finance, health, math, conversions, statistics, dates, construction, science and everyday arithmetic. Every calculator is built from publicly published formulas, and each result page shows its formula, its source and a step-by-step proof so you can verify it by hand.

2. Not professional advice

The Site is for informational and educational purposes only. Nothing on the Site constitutes financial, medical, legal, tax, engineering or other professional advice, and no calculator result should be treated as a substitute for advice from a qualified professional who knows your specific circumstances. 3. No warranty; use at your own risk

The Site and every calculator on it are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of accuracy, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. While every calculator is tested against independently verified reference calculations before it is published, we do not guarantee that any result is error-free, complete or up to date. You use the Site, and rely on any result it produces, entirely at your own risk.

4. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, TheCalculatory and its owner will not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special or exemplary damages — including loss of profits, data, or financial loss — arising out of or in connection with your use of, or inability to use, the Site or any calculator result, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

5. Your use of the Site

You agree not to:

• Use the Site for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms;
• Attempt to interfere with, disrupt, or gain unauthorized access to the Site, its servers, or any connected network;
• Scrape, harvest or bulk-extract content from the Site by automated means without our prior written permission;
• Misrepresent Site content as your own, or remove any attribution, source or copyright notice from it.

6. Intellectual property

The underlying mathematical formulas used by our calculators are drawn from publicly available sources and are not owned by us. The Site's design, layout, original text, and the software that implements each calculator, however, are the property of TheCalculatory and its owner and may not be copied, reproduced or redistributed without permission.

7. Third-party links and services

The Site may link to, or in the future display advertising served by, third-party services (for example Google AdSense). We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or practices of any third-party site or service. See our Privacy Policy for how third-party services that we use may collect information.

8. Changes to the Site or these Terms

We may update the Site, add or remove calculators, or revise these Terms at any time without prior notice. The "Effective" date above reflects the most recent revision. Continuing to use the Site after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
